Usaa Federal Savings Bank routing number

USAA publishes a single routing number for every member: 314074269. The same nine digits carry direct deposit, ACH transfers and incoming wires, wherever the account was opened. What changes is the account number beside it — and USAA is blunt that your member number is not that.

Which USAA routing number should you use?

Use 314074269 for USAA checking or savings direct deposit, ACH and domestic incoming wires. USAA’s routing-number page gives that number for the bank, and its direct-deposit and wire instructions repeat it without a state-by-state variant.

A third number, 122487129, belongs to USAA Savings Bank — a separate Las Vegas institution, formerly USAA Credit Card Bank, which the FDIC records as inactive from 1 June 2024. Not a deposit-account number.

What USAA needs to set up direct deposit

USAA lists exactly four things to give an employer or payer.

  1. 01Bank name: USAA Federal Savings Bank.
  2. 02Account number, from a statement, a check or the mobile app.
  3. 03Account type: checking or savings.
  4. 04Routing number: 314074269.

Early Pay can make a direct deposit available up to two days early. USAA says access depends on when it receives notice from the payer, generally one to two business days before the scheduled date; it is not guaranteed and may vary between pay periods.

What a sender needs to wire money into your USAA account

USAA’s sheet for a domestic wire into a checking or savings account asks for four things.

  1. 01USAA Bank’s routing number: 314074269.
  2. 02The creditor account number — your USAA checking or savings account number.
  3. 03The account holder’s full name.
  4. 04The account holder’s physical street address.

Nothing is charged at USAA’s end for an incoming wire, though the sending bank may charge to initiate. Wires arriving by 5 p.m. CT Monday to Friday are generally processed the same day; later ones land the next business day, and none on weekends or federal holidays.

Sending money to a USAA account from overseas

For incoming international wires, USAA instructs the sender to use its intermediary, The Bank of New York, and that bank’s BIC rather than the domestic routing number.

Currency is the catch. A wire sent in anything but dollars is converted before USAA receives it, and USAA says plainly it is unable to provide an incoming rate of exchange. Its agreement warns that rate may include a spread and other costs.

USAA wire fees, cutoffs and limits

Outgoing — domestic$204:00 p.m. CT, Monday to Friday
Outgoing — international$45 ($20 + $25)3:30 p.m. CT, Monday to Friday

An outgoing international wire cannot be started online: USAA takes them by phone, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT, and says the money can take up to fifteen calendar days. Domestic wires usually take one to two business days. USAA publishes no fixed ceiling, but promises notice before cutting your limit below $10,000 per wire.

What happens if the account number is wrong

USAA’s agreement says it may process a payment order solely on the account number, even when the named beneficiary differs from the name on that account. Verify the number independently before sending.

  1. 01Read 314074269 back digit by digit — check it is not 114094041 copied from a lookup site.
  2. 02Confirm the account number against a statement or the USAA app, not the member number.
  3. 03If a wire misses its normal window, call USAA to open a wire investigation.
  4. 04Report an incorrect or unauthorised wire within 14 days of the statement showing it, and no later than 60 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is the routing number for USAA?

USAA’s routing number is 314074269. USAA Federal Savings Bank publishes that single number for all members on its ABA/transit routing number page and repeats it in its direct deposit instructions, and it covers direct deposit, ACH transfers and incoming domestic wires alike.

Does USAA have a different routing number for wire transfers?

No. USAA’s own instruction sheets for receiving a domestic wire into a checking, savings or consumer loan account all give 314074269. What changes for a loan payment is the account number: USAA asks the sender to use its account, 93627154050, with your loan number in the creditor account field.

What is USAA’s SWIFT code?

USAA’s incoming-wire instructions do not give a USAA BIC. They route the payment through its intermediary bank, The Bank of New York, using that bank’s BIC — IRVTUS3NXXX — together with USAA’s creditor agent account number 8900624744 and your USAA account number.

Why do I see other USAA routing numbers like 114094041 and 122487129?

114094041 appears in the Federal Reserve ACH directory extract behind this page under USAA Federal Savings Bank, with a change date of 14 July 2010; it is not flagged as replaced, but USAA publishes only 314074269. 122487129 belongs to USAA Savings Bank, a separate Las Vegas institution formerly called USAA Credit Card Bank, which the FDIC records as inactive from 1 June 2024.

Is my USAA member number the same as my account number?

No, and USAA states it in capitals in the Depository Agreement: “Your USAA Member Number is NOT your account number. In order to properly process your transactions, you must use your account number.” The account number is usually ten digits and appears on a statement, a check or in the USAA Mobile App.

How much does USAA charge for a wire transfer?

Incoming wires are free, domestic or international. Outgoing wires cost $20 domestically; an international wire is $45 in total — a $20 wire transfer fee plus a $25 international wire service fee — as published in USAA’s Account and Service Fee Schedule effective 10 October 2025, checked August 2026. Other banks in the chain may charge separately.

What time does a wire have to reach USAA to be credited the same day?

Incoming wires received by 5 p.m. CT Monday to Friday are generally processed the same day; later ones are applied the next business day, and wires are not processed on weekends or federal holidays. For a wire into a USAA consumer loan account the cutoff is earlier, at 3 p.m. CT.

Can someone send money to my USAA account in a foreign currency?

Not directly. USAA says a wire sent in foreign currency is converted to US dollars by its intermediary bank or another institution before it arrives, and that USAA Bank is unable to provide an incoming wire transfer rate of exchange. Your account is credited in dollars at a rate set elsewhere in the chain.
