In short

What are the alternatives to Eqvista?

The realistic alternatives to Eqvista are the other cap table platforms in the same market — Carta, Pulley, Ledgy, AngelList, Fidelity Private Shares, Eqvista, Cake Equity, Vestd, Astrella and Qapita — plus Toku for token compensation. Glide Equity, shipped in August 2026, is now also in that set, and is by some distance the least proven option in it.

What Eqvista is

Eqvista is an equity management and valuation platform for private companies. It bundles cap table management with company and 409A valuation work, and it competes on price against the venture-default platforms rather than on ecosystem gravity.

What Eqvista is genuinely good at

  • Priced for companies that are not venture-backed and do not want to be billed like they are
  • Valuation work is a first-class part of the offer, not an upsell bolted on later
  • Covers the core registry job — issuances, vesting, option grants, funding events

Who Eqvista is for

  • Small companies and SMEs where the bill matters more than the brand
  • Companies whose immediate need is a defensible valuation rather than a platform
  • Founders who want a registry without a platform-sized commitment

Choose Eqvista over Glide if

  • You are cost-sensitive and the cap table is genuinely simple
  • You mainly need a valuation and would like the cap table included
  • You are not venture-backed and never plan to be

Trade-offs worth checking yourself

These are trade-offs, not defects, and scope in this market changes. Confirm anything that would change your decision directly with Eqvista.

  • Smaller ecosystem footprint, so some investors and law firms will not have worked with it
  • Check plan-administration coverage for your specific jurisdiction before committing
  • Cheaper platforms tend to trade breadth for price; make sure the missing breadth is breadth you do not need

What Glide does today

Glide is a stablecoin business account that added a cap table, Glide Equity, in August 2026. It covers the register and the workflow around it; it does not cover valuations, fund administration, national plan types or tokens, and it is the newest product in this comparison by a wide margin.

  • Glide Equity: a cap table of record for shares, options, RSUs, SAFEs and convertible notes, on an exact whole-share ledger
  • Set up from scratch or migrate from Carta by uploading your Carta export files
  • Email invitations, an accept-your-equity flow with e-signature, and holder logins that show a holder their own position only
  • Data rooms, document storage, recorded valuations and rounds, and a full audit trail
  • Stablecoin treasury: hold and move USDC on Solana and EVM chains
  • On-chain multisig vaults — Safe on EVM, Squads on Solana — with M-of-N approvals
  • Multi-rail payouts (ACH, SEPA, FPS, PIX, wire) alongside on-chain settlement
  • Cards, payroll and contractor payments from the same balance
  • Free equity calculators — dilution, vesting, SAFE conversion, waterfall, token unlocks

Frequently asked questions

Is a cheaper cap table platform a false economy?
Only if you need the breadth you are giving up. A company with one share class, a handful of holders and no employee option pool is paying for platform it will never open. A company mid-way through a Series B usually is not.
Can Glide replace Eqvista?
For the register, yes. For valuations, no — Glide records a valuation somebody else performed and does not offer appraisal work, which is the reason a lot of companies choose Eqvista in the first place. Glide also publishes no pricing yet, so it cannot be compared on the axis Eqvista competes on.
