How FPS works
Faster Payments is a UK scheme for near-real-time GBP transfers using sort code + account number (or Payee Confirmation where required). Limits vary by institution.
FPS vs SEPA vs SWIFT
FPS is domestic GBP. SEPA is EUR across Europe. SWIFT is the messaging network for international bank wires - slower and usually more expensive. Pick the rail that matches currency and destination.
